About the LBAP

The Quantocks is a very important and disctinct area within Somerset and as such has its own Biodiversity Action Plan. Produced in 1999, this plan covers the Quantock Hills AONB area.
The document incudes:
-a review of the area's biodiversity resource
-an evaluation of the importance of this resource in a local, national and international context
-priority actions needed to be taken for the conservation of local biodiversity

The BAP provides a framework through which species and habitats that are national biodiversity targets can be identified within the district and make a lcoal contribution to the achievemt of national targets.

The Quantock Hills AONB website will be launched soon....
