The Folly Farm Learning programme encompasses the principles of Earth Education, which aims to deepen children’s understanding of ‘big picture’ ecological processes and natural systems, and of how our own lifestyles impact upon them. The central premise is to promote the positive actions everyone can take. Each programme is filled with hands-on activities and games to challenge every learning style - making a truly memorable experience for all.

Residential visits

Enjoy the serenity and natural beauty of Folly Farm, by bringing your class to stay. Cosy accommodation for up to 38 provides groups with the opportunity to experience the magic of Folly Farm in comfort.

A residential visit to Folly Farm could be for one night or up to one week. The choice of activities will be up to you, as you can pick a residential package from the programme below, use the centre as a base and explore the surrounding area with your group, or take your pick from our great array of day courses to design your own residential package. All residential visits will be tailor-made to your requirements and planned thoroughly beforehand with the Programme Manager. Residential Visits can also include Night-walks and badger-watches in the evening.
