Land Management

The Trust can offer a number of services to landowners and others responsible for managing land, including farmers, local authorities, parish councils, community groups and schools. These services include giving advice on conservation management and producing site management plans.

See Contact Us for details of the relevant person to contact with enquiries.

The Trust can give advice on managing land for the benefit of wildlife, and the grants that are available for this. This advisory service is mainly available through our North Somerset Levels & Moors Project and Biodiversity Project . These projects focus particularly on habitats such as rivers, rhynes and neutral grassland, and species such as water voles, otters and greater horseshoe bats.

Site visits and management plans
Site visits and surveys can be made by the Trust at reasonable rates, and site management plans produced, identifying key management objectives and detailing programmes of improvement/maintenance work. For details on management plans for school grounds (as well as maintenance work), please see School Grounds Project
