Threatened Habitats Appeal

This is an ongoing appeal to help us match grants from the Heritage Lottery Fund (HLF) for nature reserve acquisition and management. Often we only have a couple of months to act when important wildlife sites come onto the market, and it is vital to have the matching funding available when we apply to HLF for grants (which are usually for up to 75% of the costs).

This appeal fund enabled us to purchase the Browns Folly and Folly Farm nature reserves. In the last few years successful appeals have helped us to buy six new reserves - Walborough, Clapton Moor, Puxton Moor, Hellenge Hill, Weston Moor and Weston Big Wood - and to carry out our programme of Capital Projects on Nature Reserves.
