Avon Wildlife Trust offers a wide-ranging environmental education programme throughout the year, which includes the following:

Willsbridge Mill Schools Programme
At Willsbridge Mill the Trust offers full day visits for Reception and KS1-3 classes. Using a wide range of habitats in the Willsbridge Valley, the programme includes pond dipping, stream study, woodland activities, wildlife games and an exhibition. Activities are closely linked to the science curriculum, and packs with follow-up material (including literacy) are available.

School Grounds Project
The Trust can provide practical help and advice to schools wanting to improve their grounds for wildlife and people, for example through habitat creation and management. The whole school community is involved at all stages of the project, from planning to implementation. Other services on offer include environmental activity days, visits to local nature reserves and INSET courses.

Really wild birthday parties

Avon Wildlife Trust offers a range of fun activities for children's birthday parties at our two main education sites, Folly Farm, Bishop Sutton and Willsbridge Mill, Willsbridge. Tailor-made for any wildlife theme you fancy!

Waste is undoubtedly one of the biggest issues we all need to address. The human impact on the planet, which includes the problems of waste disposal is responsible for the increasing loss of wildlife habitats.
